A Mah Meri (indigenous) family living in an isolated fishing village in Malaysia rely on Kamal, a loving father and fisherman who still uses traditional fishing techniques passed on from his ancestors to survive. They travel frequently to the nearby Chinese fishing village called Pulau Ketam, where they buy necessities and sell seafood to a Chinese supplier. They live in uncertainty as they navigate through the hardships of parenting while embracing their rural lifestyle.
